Baptism Weekend
On April 25, 2010 we dedicated Lucy to the Lord. We agreed in front of our church, family, and friends that we would raise her in a Christian home and try to be good Christian parents. Pastor Powell mentioned a couple of things that stuck with me. Lucy needed to see us taking her to church everyday and Jeremy being a good husband to me and father to her so that when she grew up, she knew what type of man to marry. We take her to church almost every Sunday (except on the Sunday's we are out of town) and Jeremy is a great father and fantastic husband. So far we're right on track. This past Sunday we joined the First Church of the Nazarene Indpls & couldn't be more pleased with the church we decided to join. The dedication/baptism itself was such a memorable time. My entire family was there & Jeremy's Dad, step-mom, brother, and sister were there too. Plus, three of my friends that I grew up with were also in attendance. I can't wait to tell Lucy about it when she gets older. And I never knew that baby baptism/dedications meant presents for her! If she didn't already have enough, she does now! She received bibles, gold necklace, books, clothes, bracelet, picture frames, books, stuffed animals, rosary, and money. My mom made the dress which I originally wanted it made out of my wedding dress but the material was too thick. She wore my baby bracelet and a necklace that was my grandmothers. You can't really see the necklace in the pictures because it's crystal beading but it was beautiful and meant a lot to my mom that she wore it.
