Happy 40th Anniversary!

Our whole reason we headed to Ohio for a long weekend was for Mom and Dad's anniversary. In a world where divorce has sadly become the norm, I personally think it's amazing that my parents are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary! Being married myself, I know that marriage can have its hard times then add on 5 kids and well that's mom and dad's life. I don't know how they do it but I hope that I can follow in their footsteps. Dad says that the secret is that God has always been the center of their marriage and well he lets mom do what she wants and doesn't question it. As he always says "She's the boss!" Dad needs to preach that message to more men! All the kids, minus Eric, came home for it. We all went to church and had flowers placed at the alter for them for their anniversary and something was printed in the bulletin about it. After church, we all headed down to Columbus to eat at one of mom's favorite restaurants, J. Alexanders. It's delicious and worth every pretty penny. It was a really good weekend of family time.
