Lucy is almost 2 1/2 years old now and we recently had our parent/teacher conference about her progress. And let me tell you-Jer and I couldn't be happier with how she's doing! She has known all her sight words for awhile and is now reading us beginner books. They are basic but nonetheless she's reading! Sight words are words such as they, the, she, he, play, etc. You have to know these by kindergarten! If I haven't mentioned yet she's been day/night potty trained for quite awhile so changing diapers will be an adjustment for us! She knows half of the pledge of allegiance, how to count 1-10 in English and Spanish, upper and lower case alphabet, etc. I could go on and on with more stuff but it would take up a lot of space! To sum it up the teachers said she is really smart and they will have to step up their game to challenge her. Like I said we couldn't be more proud. As far as activities, we have gone through ballet,
Gymnastics, ad now swimming. Se and Jer goto swimming together and I watch. It's great bonding time for them and it's my time to blog :) she seems to like it and we will be doing it util the end of June. She really likes ballet but they don't offer a class for her age at the studio that is closer to us until she's older. We will definitely have to budget some classes in. I'm thinking maybe soccer in the fall! I want her to be able to try everything!
