Dad's Perspective

Only 10 days left until Lucy's first birthday! Time has flown by and we are now counting down the days instead of weeks and months. We wrapped up our last baby class a little over a week ago and finally got the long anticipated tour of the maternity area. They showed us the LDR(labor, delivery and recovery), overnight and nursery rooms. The LDR rooms will be where we go on the night of Dec 6th. Those rooms are very nice and bigger than expected. It is basically a hotel room with some monitoring equipment and a couch that folds down and has a matress on the back for me :) A few hours after delivery we will be moved to the room that we will stay in for a few days. It is a basically just a little smaller version of the LDR rooms. Since finding out the induction date, we have been trying to wrap up everything that needs to be taken care of before Lucy gets here. Her room is all ready and this weekend we put up the Christmas tree. We didn't wake up early today like the past couple of years for Black Friday, but we did finish up most of our Christmas shopping today since we won't have much opportunity soon :)
