It's tradition for Jer and I to use Thanksgiving as the one holiday to spend where we want to-GUILT FREE! We have always choosen to spend that holiday with the Martin family who really are our surrogate family. They have always been
there from the beginning with their love and support and it's only gotten stronger with this pregnancy. We enjoy going over there and seeing everyone and just being able to kick back and relax, eat amazing food, and watch football. This year was no exception either, well the only exception was that I couldn't relax with one of Jack's bloody mary's and decided to settle on water.
The morning of Thanksgiving we put up our Christmas tree. We switched trees with Linds and Kyle this year. She wanted a bigger tree and I wanted to downsize. I happily traded our 7" tree for their 6" "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree. It's exactly what I wanted this year. We didnt have to use all the lights and ornaments as usual. Of course, Pumpkin and Izzy love the tree and love to eat the tree. This is why we woke up to 3 piles of cat puke one morning. I think they've learned their lesson for the most part. Izzy liked it lay under it when the lights were on because it was warm under there but now our tree is filled with presents underneath so she can't do that anymore. Yes, that's right-all our presents are bought and wrapped. We only bought for the kids in the family. Frankly, we can't afford that but since I buy all year round for Christmas-it was well planned. We only had to pick up a couple of things over the weekend.
