Surprise!!

This is my last week of work and it has been incredibly busy trying to tie up all the loose ends. I'm probably making it harder on myself then necessary but I am one of those people that likes to do my own work and not pass it off onto someone else if possible. I've been working 9-10 hour days this week trying to accomplish this. The only thing that has kept me sane is some of my co-worker friends and 107.9. That's the local radio station that has been playing Christmas music 24/7. For some reason, the Christmas music relaxes me. Today I was so wrapped up in my work and Christmas music that when my boss came over to me and said she needed to talk to me in the conference room with Ryan-I automatically said what did I do now?! Of course I was being sarcastic because I was annoyed I had to be taken away from my current task at hand. She opened the conference room and all my co-workers and were gathered around with homemade cake, cupcakes, and decorations! I don't ever get surprised because I don't really like them. I am too much of a control freak! I don't know if it the hormones or what but literally just teared up and had to wipe away several tears. It was that special that they did this for me. Oh and on top of the best cupcakes/cake I've ever tasted-they all pitched in me and there was a nice amount of $ in the card for me. They thought it would be better to give me cash then a gift card so it wouldn't limit where we bought stuff from. Everyone enjoyed the refreshments and then we went back to work but it defintely left an impression in my heart that I won't forget. My manager was there and took pictures that she's going to send me for my scrapbook. Only 2 more days of work......
