People keep asking us if we are getting any sleep. Of course we aren't getting as much sleep, but yes we are getting some. The first couple of nights we both got up to feed her and change her. Hey, we're new parents! But quickly learned that wasn't going to work out. It's been working out that Jer stays up later and takes any feedings/needs and then we switch turns in the middle of the night and then I get up with her in the morning and let him sleep in. It's been working for the last few nights, but of course Jer will be going back to work soon and we'll have to change that routine.
Everyone keeps asking also if I am going stir crazy. I used to be very social so for me to be cooped up in the house all day for several days-most people think I'm probably going crazy but I'm not. For the first time, I love not having to go anywhere or do anything but take care of Lucy. Jeremy has been out to run errands/Christmas shop but I have stayed in the house except when I went out for her doctor's appointment. I am going to force myself to go out next week a couple of times to socialize before Jeremy goes back to work. Plus, I need to see how I do at driving even though I think I'm not supposed to drive for a couple more weeks but I can't stop living life just because I have a 6 inch incision :)
