Aquababes
Lucy and I recently enrolled in a class called Aquababes. It's held at Riverview Hospital Rehab center where they have a workout facility and pool. The class is for moms and children from 6 months-I think 18 months. Lucy is the youngest in her class. I think the class is teaching her now to be afraid of the water and it also gives us some bonding time. She's learning that when I count to 3 that she needs to close her eyes and that I am going to put her under water. That's right, I put my 6 month old underwater and like her mother, she has gills, not lungs. As you can see from the picture below, there are 2 teachers and one of the teachers holds a hula hoop while the other one puts Lucy under and pushes her through to me. Lucy has gotten the hang of it and kicks her feet now. I think we both really enjoy the class. One of my friends and her 7 month old are in the class as well as a couple of my other friends and their kids so it's nice to socialize a little bit too. The class is every Thursday and I plan on enrolling Lucy as often as the class is and as much as we can afford it. I think it's a great experience for her.
