1 year-12 months-365 Days

A daughter may outgrow your lap, but she will never outgrow your heart. ~Author Unknown

I can't believe a year ago, Lucille Madison Sorg, made her entrance into this scary world. I can't believe that a year ago, Jeremy & I became parents to the most perfect and precious baby girl. Over the last year, she's went from an infant that is 100% dependent on her parents to 75% dependent. That might not sound like a lot but it is. She depends on us to give her food, but not to feed it to her. She depends on us to be in the room she is, but not to carry her around. She depends on us to give her what she needs/wants, but we don't have to figure out which "cry" it is because she will tell us what she wants either through words or baby sign language. It's been so fun to watch her grow into her own personality which it looks like it's a mixture of Jeremy and I's. She's shy around people she knows (Jeremy) but as soon as she warms up to them, she's as loud as can be (me). She has multiple teeth now and as parents we have learned that with each new tooth brings much pain to her. She's cutting her one year molars along with a couple of other teeth and if you imagine how sharp those are-I feel terrible that she has to go through it. At her recent one year doctors appointment, She weighed 20 lbs 4 oz (37%) and is 30" tall (80%) which is right on target for her own curve. She's taking after her aunt Taylor in that department, tall and skinny! The doctor was very happy with how she was doing. We've taken her off of bottles/formula, sleeps 10-12 hours at night, walks on her own, and is saying multiple words. She couldn't be doing any better!
