Sadly by the time I blogged this, Lucy is well into her 18th month! This means 18th month pictures and also 18th month doctor's appointment. I'm not sure why, but 18 is a growth milestone. Today, yes today, she had her doctor's appointment. Surprised I'm blogging about it?! She is 24 lbs 8 ounces which finally puts her in the 50th percentile and 33 inches talls which is 86th percentile. So she's average weight and tall in height. The only thing that changed was her weight. I dont know if having a snack right before coming helped with the weight, but we'll take it! At the appointment we had to fill out an Autism Questionnaire. I guess based on how we would answer would depend on additional testing. Fortunately, she shows no signs of autism. She put on a little show for the nurse. Lucy can tell you where her ear, eye, nose, mouth, hair, feet, and hands are. However, as soon as the doctor walked in and Lucy wasn't on her own agenda anymore, she didn't enjoy that. She was def showing off her toddler terrible 2's side. But the crying didn't last long even with the blood draw (iron) and one shot. She's almost got all her teeth in and showing signs of getting more teeth in and I have a suspicion it might be the 2 year molars but I don't know. As far as other things she's doing...she sings ABC's, Happy Birthday, and Ring around the Rosy. She might be singing other ones, but those are the only ones we can understand and even other people can understand! Based on the babycenter.com milestone chart, she's definitely on track for her milestones. I think the next big milestone for her will be potty training. She's showing signs of it now. She tells us when she poops or tell us she poops (we check) and she didnt and the next thing you know she pooped. Jer said the other day she woke up saying pee pee. So she doesnt like to be in a soiled diaper which is a good thing. I hope that we are in big girl underwear by her 2nd birthday!
