Dad's Perspective

It's been a while since my last post, but it is time to start back up with the new baby on the way. We were all disappointed to not find out baby Sorg's sex from last week's ultrasound, but hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer(I can't understand how some parents can go the whole time without knowing!) The next dr appt. Is next week and the dr may be able to do an ultrasound then or schedule one. We are on the verge of getting Lucy's room setup. Once we get everything saved off of the computer in the spare room we'll get rid of it and its desk to clear out some room. We'll have to have Lucy pick out what color she wants the room to be(probably purple) and we have to decide whether to get her a new mattress or use the one that currently in the room. We are waiting for conclusive results from an ultrasound before making any decisions on Lucy's current room, but if it's a girl, we'll probably just leave it the same. It seems Lucy may be warming up to the idea of having a sibling. Before recently, if we asked if she wanted a brother or a sister it was no for both. Now she will at least pick whichever one you say last :) I'm sure there will some jealousy at first, but we know Lucy will be a good big sister! Lucy has a friend her age at daycare that just got a baby sister. She didn't seem to want a sibling either, but once the baby came she turned around.
