Dad's Perspective - Postpartum

Lucy is almost 4 weeks old and time is already going so fast. It was nice having the first three weeks off to stay at home with her and Melinda. We were glad to have so many people stop by and see us and Lucy definitely appreciated all the gifts. She can already fill more closet space than me. :) She seems to slowly be getting bigger now and some of her newborn clothes and diapers are starting to get a little snug. Speaking of diapers, the thing about parenthood that I was dreading the most was changing diapers. The first few were definitely interesting to put it nicely, but it has gotten easier with practice and since she has been on a regular diet of formula. This week we are going to Lucy's one month pediatric visit. This will be the first time she sees this doctor. The office of the doctors that come to Riverview is a little far from our house and her future daycare...so we switched to an office at the new St. Vincent's hospital that just opened by us. I am anxious to see how much she has grown when we have our appointment this week!
