Welcome to week 18

Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.

I've noticed, recently, that depending on what website I get my information from it either says he or she. SO that doesn't mean we know what the sex is even though after an U/S by our friend...we do have a hint of what the baby is now. We aren't going public until next Tuesday, the 28th, with the information because that's when we'll have our next appointment and ultrasound by the doctors office. They will confirm what the gender is. I had exactly one week of no throwing up and it was all ruined by yesterday when I got sick. I actually had to go home because it was that bad. I slept from the time I got home until the alarm this morning. Needless to say, I was thirsty and hungry when I woke up!!
