22 Weeks

At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

I put up a 22 weeks picture. But I swear this shirt makes me look 80% more pregnant than I am. In fact, Jeremy & I went shopping today and I put a maternity shirt on and didn't look pregnant at all and than put this shirt on and have a big belly! Shopping wasn't as fun today because as usual I am still in between sizes which to me is annoying!

Tuesday we have a doctor's appointment and than we're going to go checkout a daycare called Kindercare. The 2 that we are looking at, come highly recommended and are $265 a week!!!! I think we're going to be broke for the rest of our life! But that's the going rate around where we live for a decent daycare. We are looking at home daycares too but wont interview them for another month or so.

* How far along?: 22 weeks (almost 23 due to blogging late)

* Total weight gain: 10 lbs I think but I'll confirm on Tuesday

* How big is baby?: about 1lb

* Maternity clothes?: yes.
* Sleep?: The more sleep the better!

* Best moment this week?: Jer feeling Lucy kick!

* Movement?: All the time :) Except she worried me when I didn't feel her as much over the last couple of days but the u/s showed her moving a lot!

* Food cravings?: Oddly enough-omelette's

* Labor signs?: Negative

* Belly button in or out?: In

* What I miss: Drinking an ice cold beer

* What I'm looking forward to: doctors appointment on Tuesday

* Milestone: Having an ultrasound to check on Baby Sorg and Jer feeling her kick :)
