We had a doctor's appointment on Tuesday which was 23 weeks on the dot. The doctor said everything looked good and my uterus is even measuring a week ahead. I wasn't a big fan of what the scale said but when am I ever, however, the doctor was pleased so far w/the progress. I only asked her a couple of questions. #1 Was about drinking diet coke. One or 2 large diet cokes a week she said wasn't a big problem. She said most people don't eat or drink enough of what you can't have to effect the baby. #2 Flu shot. Travelers gives out free flu shots in November and she told me to definitely get one. We also got a couple of big bottles of different formula brands to try out on the baby too. Not sure what we're doing in regards of breast feeding vs formula, but if we do use formula, we're 2 bottles ahead! I also set up my next appointment which I think is Sept 22nd and this is a big appointment for me. They will be drawing my blood to test for gestational diabetes and to see if my iron is still low. Dr. Brazus says that because I have PCOS, the chances of me having GD is greater than someone who doesn't have PCOS. I cross my fingers and pray that I don't have it.
The nursery is starting to take shape. There is one coat of pink on the wall and we're not sure about a 2nd coat even though we've been advised to put a 2nd coat on. Here's a website that shows the color of the paint. It's called "Rose 1." When we are all done painting, I'll take a picture.

Here's what babycenter.com says about week 23:
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.
