Like I've said in the past blogs, we are both lucky to have such great friends and family surrounding us during this special time. We are so lucky that there are 4 baby showers that are being planned for us right now! We know of 3 of the dates and the girls are still figuring out the 4th shower date. It's been overwhelming and exciting at the same time. To know that there are so many people out there that want to do such a nice thing...really gets us. Here is a little tidbit about the showers:
Sept 19-Held by Chris Martin. She's our Indiana Mom and frankly without her, I'm not sure what we and especially me would have done over the last 6 or so years!!! She used to be my boss when I worked at her agency but now is just a really good friend/mom to Jer & I.
Oct 18th-Held by Aunt Joan. This is Jeremy's mom sister and we are very close to her and her family. I feel really blessed that she's throwing me a shower especially right before her surgery! It'll be the first time we will see the family while I've been pregnant.
Oct 24-Held by Sheri Miracle. Literally her last name says it all. This is my Ohio Shower and she asked me right off the bat if she could throw the Ohio shower since she knew everyone wouldn't be able to caravan over to Indy. We've known each other and have been friends for at least 20 years now. That's what happens when you live in a small community and go to what seems like a private school. I love her to pieces!!!
Nov 7th-held by Linds, Kara, Jenn, and I think they threw Denise in there in the mix. It's my all friends shower or what it has came to really. The girls throwing it are some of the most important/best friends that I have and everyone attending will be my closest friends. I noticed while filling out the invitation list that I have quite a few "close" friends! I can't help it though! It's the first time that all my circle of friends will be in one spot too! It makes me kinda excited! haha!
I can't say it enough time about how fortunate we are to have such great people surrounding us. It has really made us feel so loved. So since there is a shower not too far away, we're going to register this weekend. I think we're going to register at Babies r Us and Target. I thought about just one place but I love Target too much to pass it up!! I know...the shower is for Lucy, not Melinda & Jeremy stuff :)
