Weekend Report...

We had yet another productive weekend. It seems like every weekend is already planned and we need to take advantage of the time we have. The scheduler that I am....feels like she's running out of time to get it all done.

Friday-Jeremy went to his friend's house to play video games (even though he's a grown adult) until 11:00ish and I went to see a movie with a friend. I saw the Time Travelers wife which a lot of people seemed to enjoy but I didn't like it. It was too confusing. I also went shoe shopping after work and came up empty handed again. My last try will be Nordstrom and if that doesn't work out than I'm wearing tennis shoes to work. At least I tried.

Saturday-We got up fairly early and went to Lowe's and bought a garage shelf organizer thing. It's similar to the picture to the left. All of our stuff from the baby's closet is now on this storage rack. Most of it is either in a box or a plastic storage container and a large percentage of it is all Christmas related. It fits nicely into the garage and I'm really impressed on how organized the garage looks now. Jer did a really good job!! Now it's time to move the items we've bought Lucy into the closet for now. Saturday night we went to the fair with some friends. My poor aching feet. Never being at the state fair, I didn't know how big it was and well should have worn better shoes than flip flops. Jer tried the fried milkway, oreo, and something else. It was ok. I did pretty good and only had a piece of pizza and a corn on the cob. I didn't want to shock baby with too much fried foods!

Sunday-We got up and went to church. We are going to Second Presbyterian Church. It was our second time and we both still like it. We decided to go in a different entrance and we got lost. The church is so big. For those of you that live in Indy, it's the big church on Meridian and well Peyton Manning is a member of the church :) After church we went to register @ Babies R Us and Target. Now people can stop asking us when we are going to register! haha jk! Babies R Us was really overwhelming. There are so many brands out there that I didn't even know where to begin on each item. We had done our research ahead of time but left the list at home, of course, so instead of going back home and back to the store-we just hoped for the best. I checked it when I got home against our list and it's pretty good. We decided to register for the big ticket items at Babies R Us and the more minor items at Target. We both couldn't believe how much the Travel system (stroller/car seat) was so hopefully multiple people will go in on it together and get it or we can use gift cards to purchase it. We are going to borrow the bassinet and high chair from my friend Shawn so those items were left off on purpose. Jeremy couldn't help but buy a little football for Lucy....in hopes that she'll play football? I didnt know. Secretly, I think he just wants it for himself!!!

Future Weekend Plans-Next weekend we are going to move the furniture around to empty out Lucy's room. The following weekend after that, we're going to paint the room. Which reminds me, I wonder if I can help paint or not? Hmmm.... and than Labor Day weekend the furniture will be delivered and that'll be a nice project for Jer to put together the dresser, crib, and glider. My brother and his g/f are coming for a visit that weekend too which will be nice. I think we're going to the zoo on Labor Day weekend so here's hoping it's not too steaming hot!
