In 40 Years...

Last night we went to Jenn & Wes's wedding. While Jenn was dancing with her dad for the father/daughter dance-I leaned over to Jer and said "Just think-this will be you someday with Lucy." He replies "yeah in 40 years." It took me a few seconds to get over the blank stare look at him before he replied and said maybe 35 years. He then looks at me and says "Does the brides family pay for everything?" I said-traditionally yes except the rehearsal dinner. He then looks at me very scared and says "Even the reception?" I couldn't help but laugh. We had a very non traditional wedding so he doesnt know all the ins and outs to weddings but it did get me choked up to think that one day he'll be walking Lucy down the aisle.
